The first village in the Jura department when you arrive from Doubs, Foncine-le-Haut is the true incarnation of the small village in the mountains. In Foncine we ski on both sides of the village: on the side of the Forêt du Mont Noir, departure of the slopes at Valentin, we reach other small mythical villages of the Jura Mountains: Chapelle des Bois, Pré Poncet d'un side and Bellefontaine on the other. Opposite is the Bayard, on the Forêt de la Haute Joux side, with slightly easier slopes and offering another point of view over Foncine.
Foncine slope departures:
- Chez Valentin: located on the Forest of Mont Noir side, this is undoubtedly the most well-known start of the slopes and offers the most diversity of slopes: from the green to the black slope, everyone will find what they are looking for.

- Le Bayard - Les Arboux – trapper site: located on Bayard, in the heart of the Haute Joux forest, ideal if you want to practice several activities thanks to the 5 groomed multi-activity thematic trails (snowshoes, cross-country skiing). This site is also a gem for lovers of beautiful landscapes! From there we have access to numerous viewpoints: Bulay relay, Arboux belvedere and botanical trail.

- Les Grandes Côtes: ideal start of the slopes for starting cross-country skiing! The 2 green slopes will allow you to get started gently!
Located at the foot of the Foncine ski lift, you can vary the activities here and indulge in downhill skiing easily.
