Maison Janin and cheese have been a family affair for over sixty years: initially created by Robert Janin in 1960, the Champagne brand offers a wide selection of cheese specialties made from cow's, goat's or sheep's milk . It is in the purest family tradition that the store is first taken over by the son, Michel, then (in 2008) by the grandson, Marc. In 2015 he won the title of "Best worker in France creamer - refiner" - the only one in the entire region - and is joined in the family business by his brother, Mathieu.

It is with passion and rigor that the two cheesemakers strive to select quality products from small producers spread across the four corners of France. These gastronomic treasures are then matured, many of them, in the cheese factory's maturing cellar, thus benefiting from the "paw" of Maison Janin.

Many cheeses, whether from Jura or not, can be discovered with the personalized advice of Marc and Mathieu: Comté, Morbier, Cancoillotte, Bleu de Gex, Mont d'Or and Raclette obviously feature prominently, as do various Tommes. mountain (from the Jura, Savoie or the Pyrenees...), goats or Roquefort...

The cheese factory also produces Petits Suisses as well as the famous "Fontainebleau", a succulent cream cheese emulsion. A selection made from local producers (Jura wines, biscuits, confits and jams, etc.) allows customers to discover other specialties made in the surrounding area.

Assortments of cheese platters as well as gift boxes can also be put together in store, while customers further away have the option of making their purchases online.
