It is in his workshop, in Chaux-des-Crotenay, that Jean-Claude Monneret works with local species according to his inspirations. After meeting a professional turner more than ten years ago who passed on his passion to him, Jean-Claude set out and equipped himself with a first lathe that he installed in his garage. Quickly feeling cramped there, he decided to build and arrange a “chalet-workshop” himself. He then acquires a second round as well as professional tools, which allow him to progress quickly.
Constantly looking for new things, Jean-Claude likes to experiment and shape objects of all kinds, giving free rein to his creativity: toys, decorative objects, kitchen utensils, nutcrackers, pepper mills... The artist offers his works at some Christmas markets in the region. Apart from that, workshop visits and demonstrations are by appointment only.
