So what did André Berthier discover, in his search for the location of Alésia, during his studies of Caesar's texts and his excavations in the area of Chaux-des-Crotenay, Syam and Crans?
Walls with large devices, enigmatic stones and a floor which provided numerous witnesses to an important protohistoric, Gallo-Roman and medieval occupation... Vestiges that the ArchéoJuraSites association's mission is to study, identify and protect !
Like every summer, it offers activities to discover all these remains that are still largely unknown, in order to promote this surprising archaeological and historical heritage. A permanent exhibition has been set up at the Espace Berthier in Chaux-des-Crotenay.
Visit on request for any group of at least 5 people.
